Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)

1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped (preferably cremini or button)

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon thyme (fresh or dried)

Salt and pepper to taste

8 slices of Swiss cheese

12 slider buns

2 tablespoons butter, melted

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Mushroom Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Sauté the finely chopped onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and chopped mushrooms and continue to sauté until the mushrooms have released their moisture and are golden brown, about 6-8 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Make the Slider Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with the sautéed mushroom mixture. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. Form the mixture into 12 equal-sized patties.

Cook the Patties: Preheat a grill or stovetop skillet on medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness (internal temperature should be at least 160°F for beef). During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to allow the cheese to melt.

Prepare the Buns: While the patties are cooking, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the slider buns with melted butter and place them on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden and slightly crispy.

Assemble the Sliders: Once the patties are ready and cheese has melted, assemble the sliders by placing each patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Top with fresh parsley if desired, then cover with the top half of the bun.

Serve & Enjoy: Serve the savory mushroom and Swiss sliders warm with your choice of sides, like sweet potato fries or a fresh salad. Enjoy the rich flavors bursting from each bite!
