Ingredients

4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on

1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

Juice and zest of 2 large lemons

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, salt, and black pepper. Set aside half the marinade for later.

Prepare the Salmon and Asparagus: On a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spread the trimmed asparagus evenly. Drizzle half of the marinade over the asparagus and toss to coat.

Add the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet among the asparagus. Brush the top of each fillet with the remaining marinade.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired doneness and flakes easily with a fork.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the pan from the oven. Garnish the salmon and asparagus with fresh lemon slices and additional herbs, if desired. Serve immediately while hot.
