Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with non-stick spray or lightly wipe with oil.

      Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt until well combined.

          Combine Wet Ingredients:

In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk the mixture until smooth.

              Combine Both Mixtures:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it’s okay if a few lumps remain.

                  Fill the Donut Pan:

Using a piping bag or a zip-top bag with a corner snipped off, fill each cavity of the donut pan about 2/3 full with batter.

                      Bake the Donuts:

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

                          Prepare the Maple Glaze:

While the donuts are cooling, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Adjust the milk quantity until you achieve your desired glaze consistency.

                              Glaze the Donuts:

Once the donuts are cool, dip the tops into the maple glaze or use a spoon to drizzle the glaze over the donuts. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts or cinnamon sugar on top immediately after glazing.

                                  Serve:

Allow the glaze to set for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your homemade maple glazed pumpkin donuts with a cup of coffee or hot cider!
