Ingredients

12 ounces egg noodles

2 (5-ounce) cans of tuna, drained and flaked

1 cup frozen peas

1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus extra for topping

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup breadcrumbs (for topping)

2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)

Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook Noodles: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare Casserole Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, frozen peas, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well-mixed.

Combine Noodles and Mixture: Add the cooked egg noodles to the tuna mixture and gently fold together until the noodles are thoroughly coated.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the noodle and tuna mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter until evenly coated. Sprinkle the buttery breadcrumbs and an extra handful of shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.

Bake Casserole: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives before serving.
