Sautéing garlic is an art that enhances the flavor profile of any dish, and our creamy garlic Parmesan cauliflower is no exception. Begin by heating a tablespoon of olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering or the butter has melted, add minced garlic. It’s crucial to watch the garlic closely as it can quickly go from fragrant to burnt. Sauté the garlic for about 1-2 minutes until it turns golden brown and releases its aromatic oils. This step is essential because it creates a rich, garlicky base that will infuse the entire dish with flavor.

Ingredients

1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets

4 cloves of garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Cauliflower: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cauliflower florets and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until tender but still firm. Drain and set aside.

Make the Cream Sauce: In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.

Add Cream and Cheese: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, increasing the heat slightly until it begins to simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Season the Sauce: Mix in the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well combined.

Combine Cauliflower and Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, add the drained cauliflower florets. Pour the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over the cauliflower and gently toss until all the florets are well-coated.

Serve: Transfer the creamy cauliflower to a serving dish. Garnish with chopped parsley and an extra sprinkle of Parmesan if desired. Enjoy warm!
