Ingredients

1 package (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry sheets (2 sheets), thawed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Optional: 1/2 cup icing sugar (for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.

Roll Out Puff Pastry: On a lightly floured surface, unfold each sheet of puff pastry. Use a rolling pin to gently roll each sheet to about 1/8-inch thickness.

Cut Pastry Sheets: Cut each sheet into strips, approximately 1 inch wide and 10 inches long.

Coat with Cinnamon Sugar: Sprinkle a generous tablespoon of the cinnamon sugar mixture over each strip of puff pastry, ensuring even coverage.

Twist the Strips: Take each pastry strip and fold it in half lengthwise, pressing down lightly to seal, then gently twist the pastry strips to create the twists.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the twisted pastry strips on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them a couple of inches apart.

Prepare Egg Wash: In a small bowl, combine the beaten egg with milk. Brush the tops of the pastry twists with this egg wash for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

Cool & Drizzle (Optional): Once out of the oven, allow the twists to cool for a few minutes. If desired, whisk together icing sugar with a little water or milk until smooth and drizzle over the cooled pastries.

Serve: Enjoy warm or at room temperature as a delightful snack or dessert!
