Ingredients

2 cans (16 oz each) refrigerated biscuit dough

2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan with cooking spray or butter to ensure easy removal of the monkey bread.

Prepare Biscuits: Open the cans of biscuit dough. Cut each biscuit into quarters. This can be done by using kitchen scissors or a sharp knife for ease.

Mix Sugars and Cinnamon: In a large bowl, mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

Coat Biscuit Pieces: Toss the biscuit quarters in the sugar mixture until they're thoroughly coated. This will give the monkey bread its sweet and spicy flavor.

Layer Ingredients: Begin layering the coated biscuit pieces into the prepared bundt pan. Add a layer of diced apples and sprinkle some chopped nuts (if using) between layers of biscuit dough. Continue until all ingredients are used, ensuring the apples are evenly distributed.

Prep Caramel Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, caramel sauce, and vanilla extract together. Pour this mixture evenly over the layered biscuits and apples in the bundt pan.

Bake: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the biscuits are cooked through. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.

Cool and Flip: Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Carefully invert the bundt pan onto a serving plate to release the monkey bread.

Serve: Drizzle any remaining caramel sauce over the top and dust with powdered sugar, if desired. Serve warm, pulling apart the delicious, sticky clusters of biscuit, apple, and caramel.
