1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup jasmine rice

2 cups low-sodium chicken broth (or water)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 lemon (zest and juice)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1 cup broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Prepare the Rice: In a medium saucepan, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water, then add it to the boiling broth. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the rice is tender and has absorbed all the liquid.

    Cook the Broccoli: While the rice cooks, bring a small pot of water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and blanch for about 2-3 minutes until vibrant green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
